A few years ago, I considered starting a little cake decorating hobby. I did one cake and it was pretty bad, so I dropped it and have just stuck with the kids’ birthday cakes. I’ve picked it up again this summer, though, and have been having a lot of fun with it. My sweet friend from church, Sue Duke, is a great cake decorator. I went over to her house to do Ellie’s birthday cake. She was great in helping me learn how to smooth the icing and all that. I’ve done several cakes this summer and am having fun with it. Here is my “portfolio” so far.
