12 Days....

So, it's true!! We sold our house in 12 days! We got really close to our asking price, so we're excited. We're scheduled to close around 2/24, so we have some house hunting to do!

So, tell us your opinion on the following house. This one is our current front runner. It's a foreclosure and definitely needs some work. We're thinking about offering an amount that would allow us to do that. It's a 4BR 2.5 Bath with a loft game room. It's almost 3200sf!

I'll admit that I didn't like the angled front from this photo at first. Now that I've seen the house, it's not as bad as it looks in this photo.

Pretty front door and entry

Big front room. This was meant to be the formal living and dining, but we'll make it our great room if we buy it.

The stairs separate our "great room" and the room where we'd put our dining table. The kitchen is just to the left of this shot. There's a powder bath around and behind the stairs, too.

Big breakfast room on the end of the kitchen. The garage door is just to the right of this shot.

Kitchen - Nice a big but needs work. Ceiling has a hole to repair, and there's some water damage to the left of this shot also. We'd buy all new appliances as a part of the work we did, though, which would be cool.

Enormous pantry!! The washer and dryer go right behind the camera.

This is about half of the back yard. Not bad! The grass could use some work, but the house doesn't have sprinklers. We would want to add those in as a part of the work we'd do also.

Decent sized concrete patio

This is the loft-style game room at the top of the stairs. Would make a great playroom!

The other half of the game room

Big master bedroom

Huge walk-in closet!! (James could put his stuff in one of the other bedrooms, right?)

Master bath in the middle of a remodel.

That's a jetted tub in there, and the tile work they did is beautiful!

Okay, obviously we'd need some repainting in here, but isn't this a huge bedroom for the girls!!

Little built in at the back of the room

Closet in what would be the girls' room

Driveway

Also needs repainting, but probably guest bedroom

Big closet in 3rd bedroom

Office, or perhaps nursery for baby #3 someday? A girl can dream, right? :)
So, whattya think???

And with that, you are now officially caught up on our world. We've worked for the last two weeks extensively to get the house ready for sale. It should be on the market by Tuesday. I'll give you links to the listing and the virtual tour when it's up so you can see everything we did. Please pray that it goes quickly! I don't know how long I can stand keeping this place spotless with two little ones.

James's practice is still going great. My work has been CRAZY busy but is also going well. It should slow down a bit over the next few weeks. We're really excited, because James and I are going to get to spend a weekend in Angel Fire, NM at the end of February. We're SOOOOO grateful to the Woodbury's who are making the trip even possible by keeping our girls for us!! We haven't spent more than one night away from them before, so it will be a huge treat.

Drop us a line and let us know how you're doing!

Emerson Exists, Too!!!

Despite appearances, Emerson has in fact been at all of the activities in the previous posts. We're obviously getting very bad about capturing that fact, though, so this post is dedicated entirely to her.

We tried to start feeding her solids at 6 1/2 months (a little late per the doctor even then). She just wouldn't do it. So, we waited a bit and in the last few weeks she has FINALLY started eating solids well. In fact, it's like she flipped a switch. She LOVES to eat. Below are some photos of her Aunt Becka feeding her.

She's still a great sleeper, and she has gotten great at sitting and playing with toys. She loves her big sister and they have started blowing raspberries at each other lately which is PRECIOUS!! I'll have to get it on video for you. She smiles often, but still doesn't like to be away from Mama or Daddy for too long. She doesn't like to sleep at church, either.

Her biggest news is that she started crawling right around Christmas. I can't believe she's doing it so early! Ellie was well into her 10th month, so I thought I had more time! Fortunately, Emma is still pretty slow, so life hasn't changed too much... YET!

People ask us all the time if we think her hair will be curly like Ellie's. The jury is still out, but it's looking like it might be straight. Ellie's was maybe JUST starting to show some curl when it was at the same lenght as Emma's, so we'll see!

One little Emma quirk is that her hands are always out all dainty like. She's not one of those babies that generally likes you to hold her hand, either. She wants it out, perhaps in preparation to grab the next thing that captures her fancy. You'll see that in the photo below.

Dinner with Mamaw

The day after Christmas, Aunt Jo, Uncle GK and Mamaw flew back into Dallas before driving to College Station. We met them for a quick dinner before they had to keep going. As usual, I didn't take a ton of good pictures, but you can see enough to know that Ellie was being a ham as usual.

Wiebehaus Christmas 2008

So, the real message here is that we're pathetic at taking pictures during Christmas. I don't even HAVE one of Emerson. Mom and Dad took a bunch, so maybe some day I'll get them all from them. But, since Brittney said she'd never seen my house decorated for Christmas I thought I'd grab a couple of photos of the arches all decorated and my chandelier above the dining room table for her and anyone else interested.

James followed a tradition started by his dad where he made homemade blocks for Ellie. James and his siblings (and spouses) made the castle below. Ellie loved it and still plays with her blocks daily.

Ellie also got the Fisher Price Smart Cycle. We already have it put away since we're selling the house, but she likes it. If we could only get her to cycle forward then she'll be in good shape. Maybe in a couple more months.

Sweet Ellie

Ellie has been a blast lately. She's very affectionate, which we LOVE! Here's a cute photo of her sleeping and a couple of photos with our friends the Woodbury's and their daughter Brylie.

Gaylord ICE!

We had the great opportunity to join one of my mom's groups to go see the Gaylord ICE! exhibit in Grapevine. I've been wanting to go for ages, so we all made the trip. Ellie....HATED it. She didn't want to wear the coat, and was whiny and miserable the whole time. You'll see it in the photos below. I had fun, though! James and I both thought it was pretty cool.

She looked cute in it, but she sure did hate it!
